Fort Sumter National Monument celebrated National Lighthouse Day Sunday, Aug. 6 on the grounds of the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse. There were children’s activities and officials from the US Coast Guard, Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue and the Morris Island Lighthouse Save the Light organization on hand to answer questions about the historic landmark.
