National Signing Day is one of the biggest moments in a student-athlete’s career; they are making one of the most important, and celebrated, decisions of their life.
All of the hard work, time, energy, and support from parents and coaches culminates the moment the student-athlete puts the pen to paper to make an official commitment to play a sport at the college level. On Feb. 7, 44 student-athletes, in 10 different sports, from 7 Charleston County School District schools were honored at the 2018 CCSD National Signing Day Ceremony. CCSD Interim Athletic Director Bob Olson, CCSD Board of Trustees Vice Chair Rev. Dr. Eric Mack, and Superintendent Dr. Gerrita Postlewait provided welcoming remarks, congratulated the scholars on their success in sports thus far, and encouraged them to continue their hard work in college.
