As thrift sales for children’s goods continue to thrive across the Lowcountry in the down economy, the MOMs Clubs of Mt Pleasant are once again hosting their bi-annual Mom to Mom Sale. The sale, which takes place October 10 from 7-11 a.m. at the National Guard Armory, 245 Mathis Ferry Rd. in Mt Pleasant, is adding a new half-off sale running from 12:30-2 p.m. for all remaining items.
Hosted by three Mt Pleasant MOMs (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Clubs, which are support groups for at-home and part-time working moms, the sale features items, such as toys, books, clothing, baby equipment, bedding, furniture and more from 100 different consigners.
The groups selected the Charleston Autism Academy, a new school in Mt Pleasant for children with autism, and Carolina Children’s Charity, an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of local children with birth defects and/or childhood diseases, as the benefiting charities for the spring sale with all proceeds split between the two. For more information about Carolina Children’s Charity, please visit www.carolinachildren.org, and for more information about the Charleston Autism Academy, please visit www.charlestonautismschool.com.
There is a $1 entry fee to the sale. For more information about the sale, please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
