Summer Employment at CCPRC



The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission is now hiring for Summer 2012.

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) is now accepting applications online for summer employment. New this year, CCPRC will only be accepting job applications online.

For summer 2012, the following parks will be looking to hire: Kiawah Beachwalker Park, Isle of Palms County Park, the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, James Island County Park, Wannamaker County Park, and Palmetto Islands County Park. Specific positions within these parks that are looking to be filled include park operations, summer camp counselors, lifeguards and maintenance positions. All positions and job requirements are listed on www.ccprc.com. Employment for these positions will be for the summer season, April through September.


All positions require excellent customer service skills and applicants should be mature, honest, positive, and dependable, and work well with others. Weekends and holidays are required. Certain jobs have a minimum age requirement, and all applicants must be at least 15 years old.

All applications for CCPRC employment will be accepted online only at www.ccprc.com. Interested applicants who are unable to find access to the internet may choose to apply via a computer station set up at CCPRC Headquarters, 861 Riverland Drive on James Island, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
