05/01/15 – A complainant reported that someone had gone though his mailbox and opened a letter addressed to him then put it back in the box.
05/02/15 – A complainant reported that while parked at the Sunrise church parking lot someone entered the vehicle by breaking the window and removing several items.
05/03/15 – Sullivan’s Island officers assisted Mt. Pleasant officer in stopping a vehicle heading to the island that was involved in breaking into a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and held until Mt Pleasant PD arrive and took one subject into custody.
05/03/15 – A complaint reported that while walking her dog on I’On Ave. her dog was attacked and bitten by another dog that came from a yard, in trying to separate the dog the complainant fell cutting herself. The owner of the dog came out of his house rendered assistance and provided his information for reimbursement.
05/05/15 – A complainant reported that they heard a car door shut and when she looked saw a subject walk from the area of her vehicle and get into a vehicle, the complainant later noted several items missing from her vehicle.
05/05/15 – A complainant reported a police badge was stolen from the bedroom of the house where he was staying.
05/06/15 – The complainant reported that while driving a garbage truck a small import vehicle driven by older female passed his truck and struck the rear tire and continued to drive on, there was no damage the complainant’s vehicle.
05/14/15 – Two complainants reported that a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed ran off the road in the area of Station 30 damaging a street sign and lawn, a description of the vehicle was given and a search for the vehicle produced negative results.
05/15/15 – A complainant reported that while walking her dog on the beach a larger dog ran up from behind and rolled her dog causing injury to the complainant’s dog leg.
05/17/15 – A complainant reported that he left his surfboard on the beach path at Station 18 and when he returned the board was gone.
05/18/15 – While on patrol an officer observed two subjects on the mound, the officer stopped and spoke to the subjects and during the encounter the officer learned that one subject was in possession of marijuana. The subject was cited and released to his parents.
05/19/15 – While on patrol an officer located a subject sleeping in the observation tower on the mound, the subject was in possession of an open container of alcohol, the subject was uncooperative with officers while trying to identifying the subject. The subject stated he had been sleeping on the island for the past several days; the subject was arrested and lodged in the county jail.
05/23/15 – Officers responded to a report of an assault taking place in the street at Station 21, on arrival the officer located a male and female involved in a verbal argument but no physical assault had taken place, the argument was calmed the subjects were assisted with getting safe rides home.
05/23/15 – Officers responded to Sullivan’s Restaurant in reference to a subject on the awning of the business, on arrival the officer located the subject who was intoxicated and stated he wanted to look at the stars from the location, the subject was identified and because no damage was done the subject was given a ride to where he was staying.
05/25/15 – Officers assisted the fire department with a drowning at Station 23.
05/28/15 – While conducting a security check an officer located an open door at the Holy Cross Church, the door could not be secured without a key and a key holder could not be contacted.
05/28/15 – Officers responded to a residence in which there was a rabbit in the back yard that appeared to be unable to move, the rabbit was transported to the emergency vet where it expired.
06/03/15 – While on patrol an officer found a church unsecured, trying to locate a key holder was unsuccessful and therefore the building was put on extra patrol for the night.
06/04/15 – A subject was stopped for a traffic violation, during the stop it was learned that the subject had been drinking that that there were open containers in the vehicle. The subject was arrested and lodged in the jail.
06/05/15 – Officer responded to a residence in reference to a loud party, on arrival they heard music coming from the back yard. The officers proceeded to the music and located a number of juveniles in possession of alcohol and marijuana. The parents who were upstairs were summoned and cited for the violation.
06/06/15 – A complainant reported that his wife was missing and he could not locate her, after the search of the island the missing person was located and returned home.
06/08/15 – While conducting a traffic stop it was learned that the driver’s license was suspended, while processing the scene it was learned that the driver was in possession of marijuana. The subject was charged and lodged in the jail.
06/08/15 – Officers received a complaint of a possible missing person who may have been in the business district, after a search of the area it was learned that the subject was at her residence on James Island.
06/08/15 – Officers received a complaint of a subject who was possible intoxicated at Breach Inlet, on arrival the officers located a subject who was intoxicated, a cab was summoned to the scene to transport the subject but he refused to pay and therefore the subject was arrested.
06/10/15 – Officers responded to assist the Isle of Palms police with an incident in progress in which a woman was being kidnapped by a man with a gun, on arrival with IOP officers the subject surrendered and was arrested by the IOP officers.
06/10/15 – A complainant reported that someone had apparently accessed her bank account and setup a joint Money Market account and transferred money out of her account.
06/11/15 – A complainant reported that a piece of construction equipment had been taken from a construction site.
06/13/15 – A complainant reported that a subject kicked the windshield from the golf cart while it was parked in the business district.
06/14/15 – Officers responded to a report of an accident and the vehicle involved left the scene, the vehicle involved was located in the Isle of Palms.
06/14/15 – A complainant reported that his paddle board had been stolen from the side of his residence.
06/14/15 – A boat that had been left on the side of the roadway was towed after proper notification was applied.
06/14/15 – A complainant reported that while he left his boat at the boat landing someone remove several items from the boat.
06/16/15 – While on patrol an open door was found on the library.
06/16/15 – A vehicle was stopped and during the traffic stop it was learned that the vehicle had an expired registration, the vehicle was towed.
06/18/15 – A complainant reported some information about the Charleston Church shooting subject, the information was passed on to Charleston City Police Department.
06/19/15 – Officers responded to a vehicle in the ditch, on arrival the vehicle was located and no one was around, the vehicle was towed.
06/19/15 – A complainant reported that some had stolen her purse out of her vehicle, a witness stated she had found a subject with the purse and retrieved the purse but had no information on the subject, the complainant did not want to pursue the incident any further.
06/26/15 – While on patrol an officer located an unsecured door at one of the business, a key holder was unable to be located and therefore extra patrols of the business were performed.
