East Cooper Community Outreach Announces Golf Tournament And Gala

The 2019 Golf Ball, two events hope to raise $230,000.

East Cooper Community Outreach announces the 7th Annual Golf Ball – Charity Golf Tournament and Gala, two fundraising events to benefit local families in financial distress.

A Night to Shine gala will include dinner, music and live auction.

The 2019 Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley, will take place at 12 Noon on Monday, April 22, with a shotgun start on both of Daniel Island’s nationally ranked private courses. Beresford and Ralston Creek courses are a unique pairing of Tom Fazio and Rees Jones championship designs. Participants will have a chance to win a two-year lease on a brand new Lexus and other fabulous tournament prizes. Foursomes and select sponsorship levels are still available and include tickets to the 2019 Gala.

The 2019 Gala: A Night to Shine, will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at the beautiful Daniel Island Club. The evening will offer fantastic Lowcountry cuisine at creative food stations, complimentary beer and wine, and a wide range of activities including a Wine & Dine Pull, the Spirit Ring Toss, a heads or tails raffle, and a Silent Auction with 80 customized packages.

The night will conclude with an exciting live auction hosted by Benefit Auctioneer, Erin Kienzle, offering guests the chance to bid on vacation packages, airline tickets, unique local experiences, handcrafted jewelry, and more. Dress code is cocktail attire.

The VIP Reception, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Mount Pleasant, with early checkin starts at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $150 per person or $250 for reserved seating. Table sponsorships are still available for a donation of $1,950 to accommodate eight guests. All guests will have access to complimentary valet parking thanks to Mount Pleasant Collision.

Proceeds from the Charity Golf Tournament and Gala will go directly to support ECCO’s programs that serve low-income households throughout the Lowcountry. Now in its 30th year of service to the community, ECCO assists those in need by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, dental and medical services, prescription assistance, financial literacy training, and other educational programs.
