Crawling On The Beach

By Barby Harrington for The Island Eye News

Many had asked, “Will you do it again?” The answer is a resounding “YES!” as the 2nd Annual Front Beach Crawl calls you to the Isle of Palms on March 23.

The Isle of Palms Exchange Club gratefully acknowledges the community spirit of the Windjammer, The Dinghy, Luke ‘n Ollies, and the VFW Post 3137 for their part in creating this “Fun-Raising” event. It’s a crawl, it’s a raffle and a great chance to thank your local favorite establishments.

 The Raffle!

We are putting together some fabulous raffle prizes. The Wild Dunes Golf Package is sure to please locals and visitors alike. Or, you might want to take your chance for the ever-popular Golf Cart for fairways or island ways.

Tickets for these and others can be purchased on-line, or from an Exchange Club member, or at the Crawl. You don’t need to be present at the Crawl to win, but you wouldn’t want to miss the fun of…

The Crawl!

1-4 p.m. Your Ticket to Crawl is $20 at the door or $15 online in advance. At your first stop you will receive a wristband, which is your “ticket” to Crawl Specials and Door Prizes. It’s your choice whether to start at the Dinghy, Luke ‘n Ollies, or the VFW Post 3137. You will surely want to visit them all, as each will be offering their own food/ beverage Crawl Specialty, and Door Prizes.

The Music and Drawing

At 4 p.m. we all move over to the Windjammer for a free concert and all of the raffles and door prizes drawings.

Proceeds of the fundraiser go to the Isle of Palms Exchange Club in support of their waterfront improvements and the water access programs planned for those under their Four Pillars of Service: Youth, Veterans, Community, and the Prevention of Child Abuse.
