Each day, volunteers help pack and personally deliver to over 300 homebound neighbors in the East Cooper region.
The senior population is expected to double by 2050 and East Cooper Meals on Wheels wants to ensure that they have the capacity in place to meet this growing demand for services. In addition to serving homebound residents of any age and income status, the organization also serves patients after surgery or organ transplant. Through all of their programs, East Cooper Meals on Wheels delivers more than meals; they offer social connection, safety checks and support of a healthy lifestyle. Fundraising events like this one allow East Cooper Meals on Wheels to remain privately funded and to provide more than just a meal.
